The flowers are
exported around the world in 40-foot containers, refrigerated to 1 degree
Celsius. A container has the capacity to load 1,296 boxes full of flowers,
which in turn represent 22,032 bouquets on average. When they are exported to
Europe, for example, they last 13 days sailing, until they reach the country of
destination. The flowers in Colombia, mainly, are cultivated in the department
of Cundinamarca and in the Sabana de Bogotá.
