Santa Marta is South America's oldest surviving city and the second most important colonial city on Colombia's Caribbean coast. On the north east side you will find la Casa de la Aduana where Simon Bolivar stayed from December 1st to the 6th in 1830; this is also where they held his wake. In this square you will also find the small gold museum (Museo de Oro) and the Banco de la Republica library. In the middle of the square you will find a beautiful statue of Simon Bolivar on horse back.
The park faces the ocean and enjoys the shade of many well-positioned trees, making it a very picturesque location. Local meetings, concerts and sports events are frequently hosted here.

The house we sell has been designed by same architect from Casa de la Aduana and was built in the beginning of nineteeth century.
It is a family home and is owned by the fourth generation of same family, very famous in Santa Marta.
It ‘is the best conserved colonial house on santa marta´s historic downtown, it has 728m2 plus central court yard, three floors, windows and doors all original antique, marble floor, balconys, local trades for rent, in front of central park of downtown, its located in a corner, near (200mts) the Santa Marta bay and international marine.
